1. Backup is Essential!
To begin with, it's always a good idea to have an up-to-date backup of your conversations.. The WhatsApp does this automatically. Just go to settings > Conversations > Conversation Backup and sends a bullet to “Back up now“. This way, your stops are always saved on Google Drive or iCloud.
2. Recovering from Backup
Now, if the conversation went to waste but you have the backup, it's smooth! Uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, and when configuring it, it will ask you if you want to restore the conversations from the backup. Just click on “To restore" and ready!
3. Trash is the Secret
If you didn't have an automatic backup, you have one more trick up your sleeve. O Whatsapp has a Bin where deleted messages are archived. To check, just go to Settings > Conversations > Archived. Sometimes, the conversation you missed is there quietly.
4. Searching Cloud Services
If you backed up to Google Drive (for Android) or iCloud (for iOS), there may be a light at the end of the tunnel!
Uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, and in the configuration, click on “Agree and Continue”. The app will ask if you want to restore conversations from the backup. Have faith and have a look!

5. Reservation Apps!
If everything else fails, there are still some recovery apps out there that can help you.
For Android, there is “DiskDigger Photo Recovery“.
For iOS, “iMobie PhoneRescue”. But, bro, it's not a total guarantee, so don't put all your chips on it
